We advise on the contract as executed: the sums payable, the certification required, the extension of time available, and whether a right of termination has arisen. The purpose is that any claim is made under the provision which supports it.
Where the unpaid sum falls within CIPAA, the instruction extends to preparation of the payment claim and conduct of the adjudication. Where the contract provides for arbitration, that course is followed, whether instead of or in addition to adjudication.
