Tribunal matters

We advise on proceedings before the Strata Management Tribunal, the Tribunal for Homebuyer Claims, and the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia.

Strata management

  • Advice to joint management bodies and management corporations on their procedures, duties and powers.
  • Advice to owners in dealings with the JMB or MC, and with neighbours.
  • Unpaid maintenance charges and sinking fund contributions.
  • Claims by an individual owner against a JMB or MC.

Homebuyers

Consumer claims

We advise buyers and sellers on disputes arising from a purchase, including defective goods, and on filing a claim with the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia.

A payment dispute under a construction contract is ordinarily referred under CIPAA, rather than to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims.
